Sakai 2.8 includes many bug fixes and other mostly small changes and improvements. Details can be found in Sakai 2.8 release notes.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has scheduled long-overdue and unavoidable work on the electrical systems in Hill Center on the Busch Campus. Since many university web and email servers are housed in the Hill Center, the lack of electricity requires them to be shut down until the work is finished. Additional information is available on the OIT status page (that should temporarily be located in Camden, so still accessible). The new electrical system will help prevent future outages.

The Sakai software will also be updated to Sakai version 2.8 as soon as the electricity is back, which requires an extra day of work. 

The SIRS Results web page is hosted on RCI, so is inaccessible until the maintenance is finished.  All other CTAAR services (our main web site, any email @ctaar.rutgers.edu) continue to function normally. 

The Spring 2011 online SIRS results were distributed to faculty and instructors by email on Monday, May 16, 2011. If you are expecting survey results please check your mail, and look in your "spam" or "junk" folder since they may get diverted there. We have also placed a copy of all online surveys in Sakai dropboxes for department administrators (please note that Sakai and many other central OIT services will not be available May 24 through May 26 due to upgrades to the electric system in Hill Center).

Paper surveys will be scanned and processed during the summer.
