Reserve the Test Scanner

The Benchmark 3000 scanner is heavily used during finals. Please call (732) 932-7466 ahead of time to make sure the scanner is available for use and to reserve a time slot, if you intend to scan your final exam. If you do not reserve scanner time, you may not be able to scan your exam. 

Before arriving at CTAAR at your reserved time, please do the following:
  • Complete your answer key bubble sheet
  • If necessary, sort and arrange the student answer sheets to be ready for scanning
  • Download your roster from Sakai or from REGIS and format it for use with the scanner
  • Bring a flash drive (and make sure your prepared roster is on it)
By preparing beforehand, you can maximize your time using the Benchmark scanner, and we can provide scanning services to more instructors.

Monday, April 16 - Surveys begin

Students can respond to their Student Instructional Rating Survey using the following link:


or by logging in to Sakai and clicking "All Surveys" on the "My Workspace" tab. Most surveys end on May 2nd at 11:59 P.M.

Survey dates may vary by course, and some surveys will still be conducted on paper, or using the alternate survey system in Pearson eCollege. A full listing of all surveys including their dates and formats is available on our current surveys page, http://ctaar.rutgers.edu/sirs/current-surveys

April 9 - Survey requests due

Instructors who want online surveys or changes to the details of their online survey should send their requests to us by April 9 at info@brokenemail.rutgers.edu please replace "brokenemail" with ctaar.rutgers.edu. We sent emails with the details of the surveys during the past week, you can reply to that email to request changes. 

A full listing of all online surveys run by CTAAR is available on our current surveys page (surveys in the eCollege system are run by DoCS). 

The Spring online surveys begin on April 16 and run until May 2 unless otherwise requested. A small number of courses will continue to use paper survey forms in class.
