The Center for Teaching Advancement and Assessment Research (CTAAR) invites you to attend a new virtual workshop, "Options for Giving your Remote Final Exam" on Friday April 10th from 10am-11am.

In this workshop we will explore some technological options available at Rutgers, including Canvas, Akindi, Respondus, and ProctorTrack. We will also review practical and policy considerations given academic integrity concerns and the technological limitations of remote instruction. We will provide space for you to ask questions and share solutions.

Please RSVP so we can send advance materials, announcements, and WebEx connection details: https://ctaar.rutgers.edu/workshops/register/index.php?ws=1032

One of the difficulties as faculty transition to a remote learning environment can be how they ascertain how students are doing within the class. They are no longer able to rely heavily on face to face interactions and may need other ways to understand and assess student learning and engagement. Learning analytics can provide additional information for faculty to mitigate this difficulty. They can be a way to look under the hood, see, and begin to understand the struggles students are encountering in the course.

CTAAR is offering a virtual session on March 30th, from 1:30 - 2:30 pm on Canvas Analytics and how they can be utilized by instructors to understand how students are doing in their classes and take actions as needed.

Please register online and the WebEx link for the session will be sent via email the morning of the session.

The "CTAAR Remote Teaching Community" Canvas site allows the Rutgers community to share remote teaching tips and suggestions, discuss what is working, and ask questions about ongoing needs or concerns. The Rutgers community can view these discussions and resources at https://rutgers.instructure.com/courses/16464 and "join" the Canvas course to contribute.

All Rutgers faculty and instructors are welcome to join.

The Rutgers Teaching and Learning with Technology office has scheduled an additional series of live webinars (recordings will be available afterwards) to assist faculty with quickly coming up to speed when teaching online.
