We hope you are well and that the start of the semester has been smooth! We know that even if you taught remotely last spring, this semester has brought new challenges.
Are you interested to know what your students are thinking about your courses? We strongly recommend requesting a midcourse survey for just-in-time formative feedback. Departments can set up a midcourse survey for any course through Blue, the same system that hosts SIRS. Midcourse reports are not utilized within the promotion, tenure, or advancement systems, and are instead meant for formative feedback. Alternatively, instructors can also create their own midcourse surveys in Google Forms, Qualtrics, an anonymous survey in Canvas, or use a tool for continuous feedback like BluePulse.
CTAAR has several upcoming sessions that may be of interest to you no matter the direction you are considering.
