Beginning July 1, the Center for Teaching Advancement and Assessment Research will be renamed the Office of Teaching Evaluation and Assessment Research, and will report to the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. We continue to offer the same services to support teaching, pedagogy, student surveys and  staff workshops.    

In the coming weeks we will update our web site to reflect the new name, and our email address will change to reflect the new designation. In the meantime our current email addresses continue to work (and we will redirect all email to the new addresses once the details are finalized).

In this workshop, we talk generally about how to put together evidence that demonstrates effective teaching. This session is open to instructors of all ranks and others involved in promotion, reappointment, or renewal, and will include opportunity for discussion.

Spring 2022 Report on Learning & Teaching at Rutgers (Virtual Presentation)

At the end of the Spring 2022 term, CTAAR surveyed instructors about their experiences teaching during this unusual term. In this presentation, we share our analysis of the Instructor Teaching Experience Survey and discuss how instructors experienced challenges related to the pandemic, student engagement in different types of courses, and instructor well-being.
